The Braque Saint-Germain is a cross between the English Pointer and the Braque Francais. While this French pointing dog was bred to hunt, they're more cuddly and sweet than some of their Braque relatives. This breed loves hunting by day and snuggling with their families by night. They’re smart, active, and aim to please, so the more you reward and praise them, the happier they’ll be. Like most pointers, Braque Saint-Germains can play nicely with dogs and children, but other furry critters are foes typically are not seen as friends. They can be trained and socialized to get along with other animals, but it won’t come as naturally as it does for some other breeds.

Braque Saint-Germains shed, but they’re fairly low maintenance when it comes to grooming. All they need is regular brushing and a good bath once in a while to keep their coat under control.
